A Planar Lightwave Circuit (PLC) splitter is an optical power management device fabricated using silica optical waveguide technology, designed to distribute optical signals from a Central Office (CO) to multiple end-user locations. It evenly splits a single input signal in the 1260-1650nm range into four output signals and is equipped with SC/APC connectors. These highly stable components deliver excellent performance across temperature and wavelength ranges, featuring low insertion loss, low polarization-dependent loss, excellent uniformity, and low return loss in the 4-port configuration.

Blockless PLC splitters provide superior fiber protection compared to bare fiber splitters, resulting from the miniaturization of cassette-type splitters. They are primarily used in various connection and distribution boxes or network cabinets, commonly applied in POL, data communications, LAN, CATV, FTTx, and other applications.
